The Palms at Kitty Hawk Airpark
is being created by long-time area resident Charles A. Smith
for those who share his love of aviation and find it enjoyable, or a business advantage,
to live at the landing strip where they fly.

       - Approximately 9 miles south on Slide Road (FM 1730) from Lubbock, Texas  
       - Approximately 3.7 miles north on FM 1730 from the New Home, Texas, airport

         Directions: From Lubbock, go south on Slide Road; pass through the Slide
                     community (intersection of Slide Road and FM 41); Slide Road
                     will curve and go east; soon after this curve, turn right 
                     (going south)into the Airpark on a road between the                              
                     metal palm trees that mark the Airpark entrance.

The Palms at Kitty Hawk Airpark will be a Restricted Community of homes with direct landing strip access from each home. Homeowners park planes at their home. It is the goal of the developer to create an attractive community where high standards are maintained and the focus is on providing an optimum environment for pilots who fly from home.

Park your plane at your home.

Structures and activities are not permitted that interfere with planes landing and taking off.

The landing strip will be equipped for night flying with lights controlled remotely by pilots from their plane.

Runway length: 4,800 feet; 200 foot overrun on each end.

On-site aircraft refueling.

Up to three buildings per one-acre lot: residence, hangar, storage building.

Metal buildings are allowed for use as hangars. A Metal building may serve as a hangar and residence, if design is approved by the Home Owners Association.

Homes to be brick, 2,000 SF, or more.

A Palms at Kitty Hawk, Home Owners Association will be formed to work in the best overall interest of home owners and attractive and aviation friendly attributes of the airpark.

Schools: New Home, 3 miles south on FM 1730. Safe environment; modern facilities; advanced academic courses, small class sizes; traditional values; girls and boys athletics; FFA; bus transportation.

Shopping: About 15 minutes from the South Plains Mall and southwest Lubbock stores.

An office may be maintained in a residence, with an eight-inch square sign at the residence entrance.

Water from individual home owner's well. Wells in the area indicate ample
water availability. Home owner provides septic tank.

Owners may have a hot tub, above-ground spa or in-ground pool as provided by Deed requirements.

The Home Owners Association may approve plans for a tennis court.

RV parking allowed (parking only).

Small animals allowed, such as, dogs, cats.
